Two More School Records Fall

Tuesday, March 6 2012 - 2012 Co-Ed Mustang Relays

A bigger, faster, stronger congratulations to the Boys Track and Field team on their performances at the DGS Relays last night.   The meet started with a hard fought and seasonal best effort (8:17) in the 4 by 800 meter relay by Ryan Zemel, Tony Zea, Joe Carter, and Kevin Proffitt.  Then a new indoor school record was set in the 4 by 200m relay composed of Jordan Munar, Matt Posipisil, Nate Sloan, and Ryan Koegel.  Each member of the relay team covered their 200 meters in just over 22 seconds and they compiled a time of 1:30.59, which is the number 1 time in the state and the 34th best time in the nation!  Then as an encore performance Jordan Munar, Nate Sloan, Ryan Zemel, and Ryan Koegel broke the school record for indoor 4 by 400 meter relay.  They cover the mile distance together in 3:28.89 seconds which is currently the 7th fastest time in the state!   Awesome job last night and more good things to come!
